Four-leaf clovers have always been a sign from my Grandmother. Until recently. And, I never would have known unless Heather shared her story with me….
I went to visit a woman who I used to work with when I was a teacher at a small elementary school. She retired this year and due to the pandemic, we were not able to have a retirement party for her. She always said that she wanted to write a book, so I thought More Dimes From Heaven, A Journey to Self-publishing would be the perfect retirement gift for her. I so hope she writes the book she has always dreamed of writing!
We sat out on her front porch and talked about life, work, school and memories of our own children growing up together. We talked about how precious life is and how important it is to enjoy every moment. It was so nice to sit and have time to talk with a friend, who was truly a role model for me throughout my years teaching. I never got the chance to tell her that when I worked with her. I so enjoyed our conversation.
As I was leaving and walking back to my car, I looked down and spotted a four-leaf clover. I debated about picking it and then decided I probably should. Was it a sign for something? Was my Grandmother sending me a message? I gave it to Carrie and suggested she put it in the book I gave her. I think it might be good luck for her book!
Then I got in my car and was ready to leave. I had left my cell phone in the car so that I wouldn’t be distracted while we visited. I thought I would take a quick peek to see if I had any messages. Here is the message I found on my phone:
“Hi there- so I’m feeling like I need to write about my dad. I keep finding 4 leafed clovers… I know probs sound crazy… is this a real thing? I found the first one on the day he passed- a few hours before… but I keep finding them. Monica- life is so crazy right now… my world is turned upside down. I’m trying to stay positive but it’s so hard…” ~Heather
This was within minutes of me finding the four-leaf clover that I gave to Carrie. I ran back to Carrie- “You are never going to believe this?!?!” I share Heather’s text message. We both smile and I go on my way.
Heather’s family grew up on the lake right next door to our camp. She and I swam and played together during the summer months when her family would stay at their camp on Lake Elmore. I’m sure Lake Elmore is a part of her like it is me.
If you read my last blog, then you know about the 333 and the stranger I met while renting a camp on the lake. That week was after Heather had reached out to me and after I had found the four-leaf clover. The week I rented the camp, I found 3 more four-leaf clovers. It was a mixed message- I know the 3 was from Joel’s son and the four-leaf clovers were from Heather’s father. Everyone in Heaven can connect with anyone who wants to notice the signs. It’s up to us as to whether or not we believe.
Heather has since found 14 four-leaf clovers, 2 five-leaf clovers and 4 feathers. I know her heart is hurting because her dear father is no longer a physical part of her family. I’m sure she worries about her Mom being alone. Her father is reaching out to her in such a different way. I know she can feel him in her heart. He is always with her.
On my last blog, Kathy posted a comment that along with the word Believe, she likes the word Blessings. I feel blessed and honored when people share their stories with me. I wasn’t sure what it would be like when I released my first book. Now I understand that when I shared my story with others, I would be Blessed with so many good people in my life. Thank you Heather for sharing your story with me. Thank you Kathy for your friendship. Thank you Carrie for being a part of my journey in life. I look forward to reading your book someday!
May you all Believe and have a Blessed day.
~In Love and Light,
Monica 💖💖
